Sign-in and setup
| What you see | Cause | Fix |
|---|
| "Use the Sensei app" or "Open Sensei on a computer" in a phone or tablet browser | Sensei does not open in a browser on a phone or a tablet. | On an iPhone or iPad, press Get the app on TestFlight. Otherwise open Sensei on a computer. See Desktop app and mobile. |
| "Open this on a computer" on a project or a chat session | The phone layout, on an iPhone or in a narrow window, covers Sensei's Reels, with their threads and tasks. These pages need a wider screen. A task's Chat Session opens on the phone through Open chat in Sensei. | Use Open chat from a task in Sensei, or press Copy link and open the page on a computer. See Desktop app and mobile. |
| "That code has expired" or "Too many attempts on that code" | A sign-in code lasts 5 minutes and allows a limited number of tries. | Press Resend code and type the new code. |
| No Promo code field in New workspace | Free credits are claimed once per person, and you already claimed yours. | Create the workspace without it. See Plans and billing. |
| "Authentication Not Configured" banner | The workspace has no usable Credentials. Your own Subscription does not clear this banner. | An owner or admin connects a provider in Settings > your workspace > AI Providers. See AI providers. |
| Settings > your workspace > AI Providers reads "Managed by workspace admins." | Only owners and admins can change workspace Credentials. | Ask an owner or admin. See Members and roles. |
| Sensei cannot start a Turn | The selected personal source cannot run it. | Fix the Subscription, or use Sensei free if you hold none. An empty Free allowance requires waiting or connecting a Subscription. See Sensei. |
Import
| What you see | Cause | Fix |
|---|
| The Import Project dialog reads "Connect your repositories" | You have no GitHub Connection yet. | Press Install on GitHub, pick your repositories and authorize the Kosuke App. If your GitHub organization already has the app, press Connect GitHub under it. See Import a repository. |
| The Import Project dialog reads "Waiting for your org admin" | You asked a GitHub organization owner to install the Kosuke App. | Press Check again once they approve. If the dialog asks you to connect instead, press Connect GitHub. |
| The Import Project dialog reads "Reconnect GitHub to continue" | GitHub no longer accepts your connection. | Press Reconnect GitHub. You can also reconnect in Settings > You > Integrations. |
| Your repository is greyed out with Install App beside it | The Kosuke App is not installed on that repository. | Click Install App and add the repository on GitHub. GitHub sends you back to the dialog. See Import a repository. |
| Your repository is missing from the list | Your GitHub account cannot reach it. A repository the App does not cover still shows, greyed out. | Check your access on GitHub. |
| Your repository is greyed out with no Install App link, or the import fails with "Your GitHub account cannot write to …" | You can read the repository on GitHub but not push to it. Sensei imports only repositories your GitHub account can write to. | Ask a repository admin on GitHub for write access, or ask a member who has it to import the repository. |
Deploy
| What you see | Cause | Fix |
|---|
| "Deploys on GLM are less reliable than on Claude or GPT", or the same warning for Kimi, DeepSeek or Grok, in the Deploy Chat | The deploy model is GLM, Kimi, DeepSeek or Grok. The deploy still runs. | For more reliable deploys, an admin connects Claude or Codex in Settings > your workspace > AI Providers. Then pick a Claude or GPT model in the Deploy Chat header. See Deploy your project. |
| "No usable workspace Credentials can run the deploy model" | The workspace's Credentials cannot run the deploy model's provider. Your own Subscription and Sensei free never stand in for a workspace Deploy. | Ask an admin to connect or reconnect the provider, or pick another deploy model in the Deploy Chat header. Then press Deploy. See Deploy your project. |
| An imported project's first deploy never started | Its allowed source cannot run the deploy model. | For a workspace project, ask an admin to fix workspace Credentials. For a personal project, check the owner's Deploy model setting and selected source. See Deploy your project. |
| A yellow dot beside the project in the sidebar, and "Answer the deploy agent..." | The app cannot start without a value only you have, and the deploy agent asked for it. | Answer it in the Deploy Chat. With Sensei, a card in the "Deploys of" thread takes missing secrets too. See Deploy your project. |
| The Deployed card says values were stubbed or features are off | The deploy agent stood in for keys it could not get, so the app could start. | Add the real values in Project settings and press Redeploy. |
| "Deploy failed" in the Deploy Chat, or a red dot beside the project | The deploy could not bring your app up. | Open the Logs tab to see why. Tell the deploy agent what to fix, or press Retry Deploy. See Deploy your project. |
| The settings tabs cannot be edited before the first deploy | The deploy agent writes the first configuration. | Press Edit manually. See Project settings. |
| "Press Redeploy to rebuild the deployment..." in the Deploy Chat | The project's main sandbox is gone. | Press Redeploy. |
| "Sessions start when it lands" or "Project setup not complete" when you start a session | Sessions start only after the project's first successful deploy. | Add the session to the Backlog and start it once the deploy lands. With Sensei, ask it to start the session, and it starts by itself when the first deploy lands. If no deploy runs, see Deploy your project. |
Chat sessions
| What you see | Cause | Fix |
|---|
| No Steer now arrow on your waiting message | The running turn belongs to another member. | Wait. Your message starts the next turn. See Messages, Up next and steering. |
| Messages in Up next stop going out on their own | The last turn was stopped, failed or ended on a Clarification, or the session moved to Under Review. | Send a message, or press Send now on one of your waiting messages. Up next carries on after that turn. See Messages, Up next and steering. |
| "Chat failed" | The turn ended with an error. | Press Try Again. |
| "Sandbox out of memory" | What the agent started used up its share of the sandbox's memory, or the sandbox ran out, so the turn stopped. The agent's changes stay in the sandbox. | Press Try again. If it happens again, ask the agent to run fewer things at once, or pick a larger Sandbox Tier for new sessions. See Project settings. |
| "Sandbox not responding" | The sandbox stopped answering for five minutes while the agent worked, so Sensei ended the turn. The agent's changes stay in the sandbox. | Press Try again. |
| "Turn stalled" | The agent stopped making progress for too long, so Sensei ended the turn. A turn with no new agent events ends after at most 30 minutes. The agent's changes stay in the sandbox. | Press Try again, or send another message. |
| "DeepSeek balance is empty" | Every DeepSeek API key the turn could use has run out of balance. | Press the banner's link and add funds on the DeepSeek top-up page, then send again. See AI providers. |
| A notice that your Subscription needs reconnecting | The login behind your Subscription expired. | Press Reconnect in AI Providers and sign in again. See AI providers. |
| A workspace task needs Credentials reconnected | No allowed workspace account can run the task. | Ask an admin to reconnect workspace Credentials. Reassignment and personal Subscriptions do not fix it. See AI providers. |
| A task cannot access its provider | Its allowed source is unavailable. | Workspace tasks require workspace Credentials. Personal tasks use their selected Subscriptions or Sensei free. Fix the Subscription; Free is offered only while you hold none. See AI providers. |
Preview
| What you see | Cause | Fix |
|---|
| "Preview paused" | The task's sandbox is paused, because it sat idle or someone stopped it. | Press Start preview, or send a message. See Preview and sandboxes. |
| A "Still there?" card with a countdown | The preview has been quiet for five minutes and is about to pause. | Press Keep it running. |
| The Sandbox Limit Reached dialog | The workspace runs as many sandboxes at once as its plan allows. | Tick tasks to stop, then press Stop N Tasks & Create New (or & Start, & Restart). See Preview and sandboxes and Plans and billing. |
| "Deployment failed" in the Preview | The project's deploy failed. | Open the project's settings, read the Logs tab, and redeploy. See Deploy your project. |
| "Task not started" in the Preview | The task is still in the Backlog. | Start the task. See Chat sessions and tasks. |
Pull requests
| What you see | Cause | Fix |
|---|
| No Open PR button at all | The branch has no changes yet. | Ask the agent for a change first. |
| "Branch behind" in the chat header | The Target Branch has moved on. | Press Sync. GitHub merges a clean sync; the agent takes over on a conflict, local work or a running turn. See Sync with the Target Branch. |
| "PR has conflicts" in the chat header | The branch and the Target Branch changed the same lines. | Press Sync. The agent resolves the conflicts and asks you when one has no clear answer. See Sync with the Target Branch. |
Billing
Owners and admins manage the plan and spend settings in Settings > your workspace > Billing.
| What you see | Cause | Fix |
|---|
| "Running low on free credits." or "Running low on included usage." | The workspace is close to its limit. | Press See plans or Allow overage. See Plans and billing. |
| "Free credits used up" | The Trial's free credits are spent. | Press See plans and subscribe. |
| "No free credits on this workspace" | Free credits are granted once per person, and whoever created this workspace already claimed theirs. | Press See plans and subscribe. |
| "Included usage spent" | The plan's included usage for this period is spent. | Press Allow overage, or wait until the allowance resets. |
| "Spend limit reached" | The workspace reached the monthly spend limit it set. | Press Raise limit, or wait until the allowance resets. |
| "Payment failed" | The last payment did not go through. | Press Manage billing and update the payment method. |
| "Subscription ended" | The workspace's paid plan was cancelled. | Press See plans and subscribe again. |
Next steps
Muse Code model or usage unavailable
If Muse Wonder Full is refused, check that the login has Power Usage or Maximum Usage. When the plan lacks the model, Sensei moves the session to another Muse login whose plan has it, when there is one, and opens the turn again. With none, the turn stops: pick Muse Wonder or change the plan. Auto and the Model Router support Muse and step down to a model the login's plan offers.
Sensei reads Muse usage from Meta when a reading is more than 5 minutes old, and keeps the last reading from sign-in, a Turn or a limit when Meta cannot be read. An unavailable reading does not mean unused quota. When a login reaches its limit, wait for the reset or use Re-check now. Reconnect a login marked Reconnect required.
Google models missing or refused
For personal work, connect your Antigravity sign-in in Settings > You > AI Providers > Gemini, or reconnect it when required. Saving the sign-in makes it your Google access immediately. Personal Gemini API keys and method selection are no longer available. For workspace work, an admin must select a saved method in the workspace's Gemini row.
Gemini 4 Argon runs only on a sign-in to Google AI Pro, not a trial, or Ultra. A workspace Gemini API key never runs it. Pick Gemini 3.8 Flash, or ask an admin to select a suitable workspace sign-in. Auto supports Gemini and steps down from Argon to Flash on an API key. When a sign-in turn reaches a Google AI plan limit, wait for the reset. For workspace work, an admin can explicitly select another saved method. Personal work never borrows workspace Credentials or moves to Free because of a limit.
